— About this oil

What's in the bottle.

Vasundhara Refined Cottonseed Oil is rich in Vitamin E. Our refined cottonseed oil ensures that every home-cooked meal is healthy and light. Besides having a neutral flavour, the oil retains its quality even at high temperatures — making it ideal for deep frying.

Cottonseed oil is a commonly-used vegetable oil derived from the seeds of cotton plants — mainly Gossypium hirsutum and Gossypium herbaceum, grown for cotton fibre. Our cottonseed comes from Kutch, where the same farming families have been growing for us across generations. The oil is winterised, double-filtered and packed under nitrogen to lock in freshness.

Why this oil.

Pressed gently, never chemically refined. What you taste — and what your body gets — is exactly what the seed gave up.

Light & non-oily

A clean, non-greasy mouthfeel that keeps namkeens crisp and snacks weightless.

/ 02Benefit

Anticancer support

Studies link cottonseed oil's tocopherols and gossypol to antioxidant activity.

/ 03Benefit

Vitamin-E rich

Among the highest natural vitamin-E content of any vegetable oil.

/ 04Benefit

Stable for frying

Holds its profile at high heat — the favourite of namkeen makers across Gujarat.

Long shelf life

Nitrogen-flushed at fill — twelve months on shelf, full character intact.

This is where the oil earns its keep — picked for how it actually cooks, not just how it costs.

From Kutch to your pan.

Kutch grows the cotton that makes our oil. Once the fibre is ginned, the seed travels straight to our mill — never sitting in a warehouse longer than a week. We expel it cold, winterise it for clarity, and double-filter before bottling.

Because we don't blend, every bottle carries the lot code of a single press. If you've cooked with our cottonseed oil at home or in your namkeen shop, you've tasted what one specific field, in one specific season, produced.
